Our team brings some of the hardest-hitting experience in the outdoor media world. From award-winning filmmakers and photographers to award-winning outdoor writers, we are equipped to masterfully manage all aspects of every project. That being said, we’re highly collaborative and work very well with others, particularly in accomplishing creative visions and team-oriented projects. Our team has worked cross-culturally, around the world,  on numerous collaborative projects.

RA Beattie was born into the world of outdoor entertainment. His grandfather, Bob Beattie, was a legendary U.S. Ski Team coach, and his name became synonymous with skiing from the 1960s onward. Bob went on to commentate the Olympics and ABC’s Wide World of Sports and eventually hosted his own show, Ski World, on ESPN. Growing up in Aspen, Colorado, RA was immersed in the world of media and production, visiting production trailers at ski races, hanging out with camera crews, and learning the ropes of media creation alongside his father and grandfather. Beattie spent his childhood fishing the waters of Woody Creek, which flowed through his family’s property, right next door to American icon Hunter S. Thompson.

RA was also mentored in business by his stepfather, Tom Bedell, founder of Pure Fishing, the world’s largest fishing company. By age 14, RA began his career as a guide apprentice, and by 18, he was running the guide program at a fly shop in Aspen. His guiding career spanned over a decade, taking him across the American West and into Eastern Europe, where he founded the first U.S. fly fishing guide service in Slovenia. He studied creative writing and film at the University of Puget Sound and later attended Full Sail University to hone his technical expertise in film and TV production. Over the years, RA has become an acclaimed filmmaker, traveling the world and documenting outdoor adventures, with a special focus on conservation and the preservation of wild places.

Beattie has produced some of the most successful fishing films in the industry, receiving over a dozen awards for his work. His films consistently top sales charts, showcasing outdoor experiences on every continent and covering a vast array of sportfish species. His team also created the highly popular and logistically challenging Das Boat series in partnership with MeatEater (three seasons) as well as other TV shows.

In addition to his film work, RA brings extensive experience from the music industry, where he spent 15 years in marketing and artist relations. His ability to blend product development, branding, and sales strategy has proven invaluable in creating campaigns and media that resonate deeply with audiences. From producing large-scale trade shows and live events to complex media productions, RA is a creative problem solver with mastery over video, photography, graphics, and audio production.

Above all, RA is committed to conservation and believes in using his platform to promote sustainable outdoor practices, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the wilderness. Whether behind the camera or in front of it, RA’s passion for the outdoors drives his work, making him a leading voice in the outdoor media industry.
