On the Line: with David Chang
At Off the Grid Studios, we’re deep in post-production on a new project filmed on location in Quintana Roo, Mexico—a story that blends food, fishing, and the pursuit of mastery. On the Line with David Chang follows chef and storyteller David Chang, world-class angler Mike Dawes, and legendary local guide Jorge Tut as they explore the connection between craft and culture on the flats of the Yucatán.
Filmed along Mexico’s southern coast, the film captures long days on the water chasing permit, evenings spent around simple tables, and conversations about risk, patience, and creativity—the shared thread between guiding and cooking. It’s a story about what it takes to dedicate your life to something you love, and the people who live that truth every day.
