Ok, so the last place anyone is going to look for unbiased 2016 fly fishing film tour reviews is from the studio responsible for producing three of the films in the 2016 fly fishing film tour – but – we’re our own worst critics and are capable of giving appropriate critique of the media.

While last years show was criticized as being too political, conservation oriented and lacking the “fun” element thats drawn crowds in past years – we’re confident viewers will LOVE this years show. We will be attending and posting more review next week as we travel with the show in Seattle, Bend and Portland. But for now, here’s a little 3rd party review to keep things in check. Read more

OTG’s CARPLAND Awarded Movie of the Year and Best Story

In 2014 members of the OTG crew set out to create what was then considered by most to be a crazy concept: a documentary fly fishing film about the carp. Yes, that’s right. Carp. Over the course of a year, team members Austin Trayser, RA Beattie and Steven Yochum traveled the USA filming passionate carp anglers around the states. From California to Illinois, and numerous locations inbetween, we documented some truly amazing locations. OTG’s Marko Milosevic created the killer 3d animated graphics, and Kevin Markis created the animated History of Carp for the film.

OTG Welcomes Animator Kevin Markis to the Team

OTG started working with 2D Animator Kevin Markis in late 2014. The project was creating a brief animated “History of Carp in America” for the film CARPLAND. The film went on to tour the world with various film festivals and was awarded Movie of the Year and Best Story in 2015 by the Drake Magazine Video Awards. It was also the first time this style of animation had been utilized in the fly fishing film genre.
